Mort Cinder
$75.00
Fantagraphics edition from 2018 of Mort Cinder (1960s) drawn by the great Alberto Breccia, whose expressionist-mannerist ink work really doesn’t feel like anything else. It’s an older dream of what illustration should do and look like—Wyeth or Hal Foster—but with a unique midcentury-pulpy flair.
The story concerns a guy who is reborn whenever he dies so it’s almost a time travel thing, the atmosphere has a little of Indiana Jones or del Toro. Written by Oesterheld who also did The Eternaut.
