What can I say? The film is a legendary slab of sensuous psychedelia, and this book comes with a restored Blu-Ray of the animation as well as an interview and a lot of stills to pore over.
The curdled-hippiedom darkness really permeates. A good companion (to this ‘companion’) might be the book-and-DVD of Keiichi Tanaami’s handmade animations…which I may or may not be also posting here soon 👀
